I played EQ1 for several years and "alt-tabbed" boxed a lot. I tried out EQ2 not long after launch and it was very painfull to play. I stuck with EQ1 for another year then bailed to WOW to be with friends (didn't everyone?).
I single boxed WOW for a while then I started up additional accounts to speed leveling and feed my altaholism. I work rotating shifts so I don't have a regular play schedule and I can't keep normal raid attendence. I came to the realization a few weeks ago that I was stuck doing the same sh!t over and over again. Whether it was solo healing on my priest or doing the same dailies over and over again.
I knew I wasn't going to see the inside of the high end raid instances and pugging 5-mans was making my hair turn grey even faster. I said goodbye to my guild last week and dropped 60k gold in their lap along with tons of mats I gathered up while boxing.
I am having fun in EQ2 right now and absolutely love it. Since I didn't play very long at release everything is completely new to me. I am boxing again in a guild with another boxer. For those who don't know there is a support site/forum for boxing mmo's over at
Dual-boxing.com . There is more and more wow boxer's coming over to EQ2 every week as well as solo account players.
All in all I like the similar lore and gameplay. The community isn't a bunch of 'tards and haven't seen any 'anal [Incite]' yet in chat.
