How has there been no mention of Wizard? Except for non rootable, I can kill just about anything.... Most solo mobs die in 1... maybe 2 shots... I dunno what criteria you'd need, but that seems pretty good solo to me

Sort of depends,

If we are talking Solo mobs (non heroics) any class played correctly can solo them. Any properly geared and played level 80 class can solo a solo mob thats between level 1 and 80.

For heroic content it sort of depends i have done it with a few classes,

Chanters can solo ANYTHING that can be mezed, and pretty much anything that can be stunned or rooted. Chanters could easily solo things like chelsith even last expansion, now things like that are pathetically easy to solo.

I have soloed some heroic instances on a fury. And I find that conjys/necros work well on mobs that you want to tank and have problems rooting. Overall though I would say my Illy can solo the most content.

There is that vid of the mystic clearing bugaboo, I personally have never tried to solo an epic mob, but thats pretty sweet ;)

As for the OP. I'm a Wizard and I'll tell you... we suck when it comes to heroic mobs we can't root or groups of heroics. Not that it can't be done. But it's a PITA solo.

Necro by far is the best solo class in game right now.

Depends what kind of soloing you're talking about. Chanters have and always will be the best at soloing anything that can be stunned/mezzed. Summoners are the best for everything that cant be stunned/mezzed. Brawlers/SK are the best at grinding non-nameds.
