Can someone say, "Overreactive" CS now? I know what i and a guildmate did was 'wrong' but no warning just bam...and then the other guildie...and we almost lost Deludar/Kriks last night lol ... i'm not the Defender of Coldmetal but dude for that? I really think ya got jipped. You had a post that wasnt filled with curses, wasnt profane or 'naughty'...ya just said some fucked up shit about people should be fired, which while i think was hastey i think isnt to outta line (Not that i think its Grims fault but whos the guy who left him said mess, wouldnt you think it would be HIS fault? Or the one atop them?), but by far did you not deserve a 3 day suspension.

SOE forums serve a few important purposes. Expressing emotional opinions, is not one of those.

since 75% of it doesn't work as it used to, i think you could argue about whether that is an emotional subject or not.

Someone flat did not do their job, and when people don't do their job, management should fire them so that they can go find a job that they can do.

I didn't say they were stupid, or anything personal, only that they did not do the job that was given to them to do.

Unless SoE told them to make the boards 75% less effective :D, although I don't think they are that bad. Don't get me wrong, they aren't very well put together, but I don't think it was a 75% reduction.

These forums which are maintained parttime? have much of the functionality missing from jforums, and you are not a multi-million dollar corporation. (I assume :O )

I am also displeased with the new forums, The basic format is the same from what i can see. You can still find your various info on tradeskills // class discussions // combat ect... However for quite a while the board has become very one sided ( thx LFG for starting this one ) to where only select posts make it through.

Second most can not post from work, quite a few people used the main Eq2 boards as a semi form of communication with one another, find some sort of useful info, or just kill time at work and this is no longer possible because websence now blocks it.

It also seems that the devs // admins // whoever is running the boards have become more occupied with various posts from the NGD then some of the actul issues that are posted. the board seems to be lacking as a whole.

If the boards became more user friendly, less moderated, and the devs // admins actully started focusing with actual responces to problems // situations ingame then i think the boards might be a useful tool once again aside from checking downtimes and test updates.

The new boards are gay, and I get the jist of what the OP is feeling when he says someone should be fired; the forum change is just another thing in a long line of WTF Moments by SOE and this shit is starting to get old.

However, there's no way to tell who gave the order or who came up with the idea to replace the forum with that steaming pile of pukey, or whose grand idea it was not to import posts from the quest section. It's too easy to complain about the shit programmers or shit decisions when you don't know much about the atmosphere that creates such uniformly low quality work, but I would hazard a guess that much of what comes out of SOE does so through Smed's anus and has nothing much to do with the quality of the people that have to work there.
