Its not about options. I mean the whole reason for LU13 was to combat the stacking of buffs in such a way to make guardians pretty much untouchable. Allowing buffs cross raid would mean:
- Paladins/SK's could put gift of armament on
- Coercers and dirges could put hate buffs on
- Every priest could put their single target buff on
- Monks/ Bruisers could put avoidance buff on
- Everyone who has one could put damage sheilds on
Do you not see how this could cause problems for a raid? There is a reason they limited buffs to your group, except for a few different single-target buffs, which, at least for Coercers, is not something you would put on an MT anyway (agro reducer).

I can hardly keep track of all my fucking dots, debuffs, DD's, power dumps, this, that, everyone's birthdays and anniversaries...
My cousin's boyfriend is an avid PS2 player, he asked why I don't use a gamepad. Then I pointed to all my fucking toolbars. I don't need any more abilities, just as I don't need any more tiers. CONFUCKINGTENT PLEASE.

Well damage shields are cross raid but don't stack with each other (at least for druids). But I was thinking that maybe what they could have done was not so much limit the number of buffs we could individually cast but limit the number of buffs each player could receive. If a tank could only receive 1-2 hate buffs total, for example, then would it really matter if it was cross raid or not? Maybe even make that limit increase with a stat like INT or WIS.
Anyway just a thought.

Gawds no buff limits please. That sucked ass in EQ1, having to click off some buffs to get the ones you wanted.

lol i guess you never raided with people that were remotely decent with their class.
Amends and troub deaggro dont solve everything.
plus warlock+pally in same group is retarded and should never ever happen unless its during an XP group.

We're already there in some sense except the mechanics are different. I just don't like having useless buffs simply because of the group I'm in. If for some reason I get put into a mage group I have nothing to offer anyone at all.

they are called utility classes for a reason .
