No it's not possible.

The owner of the account is the one who origionally opened the account.

If someone opened the account on EQ1 seven years ago and played there toon for an hour and said enough for me and then gave it to you. You then use the account for 4 years in EQ1 leveling several toons and paying for your subscription non stop. You descide to continue to use the account in EQ2 to get those fucking uber veteran rewards and then play EQ2 for 3 years.

Guess what in SoE's eyes the account still belongs to the guy who opened the account and played it for an hour and walked away. Your shit outa luck if you want to do any transfers with it unless you pretend to be him.

best part of all..

If the origional guy wants to make a few bucks and still has all the origional credit card info he can assume control of both the EQ1 & 2 accounts and sell em off on bazaar!

Gotta love how SoE takes care of it's loyal consumers!!

So all these people buying accounts outside of station exchange can never really own the account, and stand the risk of the original owner yanking it back at any point in time?

... wow.

He had a long running thread about it... I don't care enough to find it and link it.

The bitterness is strong with this one.

That is 100% correct.

And like I said it can even be the origional owner of an EQ1 account you used to open your EQ2 account.

Maybe if you talk to SoE customer service and show them where it was actually a father or brother ect. that origionally owned the account they will work something out for you.

Your correct, but I'm answering someone's question from my personal experience so how about you kiss my ass?

I had given some thought to buying an account on ebay and using the free transfers to add to my two boxing options, but if that's the case, fuck that.

Technically you can get any account back 1 time - IF you have the last 4 numbers of the credit card used to OPEN the account, and the name on the account is the same.

It's in the Knowledgebase if I remember correct - it does take a call to Sony, but it is possible.

So what's the verdict? Now that it's announced, which guilds are cowboying up and actually going after the "competition" they claim they want? Paradigm has been fanning rumors that they are moving off oasis to go after competition, but i doubt it. I still want to see any of the top 4 take each other on. The minor skirmishes over contested would be just a buildup for the true battle RoK release would provide.
