I'm suprised you aren't petitioned for using a guild name straight out of a movie. Isn't that no different from naming your Swash "Capt JackSparrow"?

We deal with 'botters' as follows:

1. A leader speaks to them either live or by mail (and usually both) and notifies them that 'botting' is not acceptable in Kni;
2. They are given 7 days from their last log-in to explain their behaviour - which must include a promise to stop performing this illegal action;
3. If they do not offer any explanation within 7 days or do not stop 'botting' after the 7 day period - they are then immediately booted.
You leave a non-responsive member that's causing problems in your guild for 7 days? The second someone isn't responding to me or dicking around, I hoof them out.

Just to make something crystal clear, there's no rule in the game that prevents you from multi-boxing. The second you start using third party programs to do it, intefear with other people's enjoyment of a zone, or do it for profit on a non exchange server ... then you have problems.

I am less than impressed with the remarks about Kni by those who have no ability to organise or administrate a guild.
I like how everyone that is critical of your guild policy's has no ability to organize or administrate a guild. To be completely honest I've never heard of your guild.

When ever I see a bot group in Baren Sky heading to PoA I make sure they don't make it onto the moving pad. This is my way at getting back at the bots!

Thank you for all your opinions, I certainly appreciate that this issue causes some people's blood to boil. What temperature your blood actually reaches really depends on a variety of 'personality issues' and how these issues effect how seriously you take the game.

We are happy with our policy and we certainly will not pre-judge non-English speakers as botters as some have suggested a 'good guild' should. That is a disgraceful attitude although you (and you know who you are) may not know it.

Since I became a GL in Kni, some 5 months ago we have had only 2 reports of botting relating to our small and respected contingent of Asian members. The way some weirdies on the Kithicor server have reacted you'd think all 290 unique players were sweeping majestically across the plains with a fleet of bots stretching out behind them.

To be clear, i didn't open this thread to defend Kni - I have no intention of immediately and summarily executing guild members because they make a mistake. On the contrary, I originated this thread to express my annoyance at the bad attitudes of the less mature, the permanently bad-tempered and those who are simply just strange among us.

290 fleets of bots wearing your guild tag would give you "a dose of power" that you probably wouldn't forfeit. If any of them left your guild, it would probably be from banning and not your 7-day policy.
