oh...my...god...a forum I can post on...after a year of banishment from the EQ2 boards...I don't have to lurk in silence....
Right then...
Xede, I can assure you that anything Jaraxx says is either false or so permeated with fiction that any truth is thoroughly suffocated.
That being said, Strike is a very good guild that would thoroughly own most other servers and would absolutely be #1 on Butcherblock if it wasn't for <insert replacement name for The Tribunal since Strike mass petitioned them during the Matron fight and forced a name change>.
Of course, the soon to be re-named guild is there, and has been since November 2004. After unseating Unitas, a very good guild that server-firsted Darathar and included such founding members as Khalan (now of Second Dawn), they have been #1 on Butcherblock since about April, 2005. They are among the only top raiding guilds worldwide who have to deal with a (relatively) formiddible foe, who actually have to contest for contested, who actually need a phone tree. Competition is keeping them sharp, and they still keep their "name" in the top few guilds world wide.
If it's not totally obvious that I wish I could still raid like I used to and rejoin my buddies, it should be, lol.
EDIT: Why doesn't my sig show up on this post, lol?
