This site's forums are infinitely better than the SoE forums for the simple reason that you can say what you want to say without fear (unless it is stupid, in which case you will get shot down). Not to mention it's up, it's available at work (and It loads fast even on this piece of shit dumb terminal I must use at work), I can see the last posted topics on the side of each forum (which I seriously miss on the official Forums, who cares which noob posted last, I want to see the latest hot topic that got a reply, or if there's any update on that forum at all). Another plus, there are fewer retarded non-raiders who like to "contribute" to raiding/raid item threads (omg that item is so leet, why are you complaining, I would love to wear that while I go group in SoS).

The SoE forums lost the pluses it had (floating threads!), and is now not worth the time to visit daily. I find I still visit it a few times a week, but probably half of those times are me clicking the bookmark, looking at the page, and saying, fuck I forgot this board sucks ass now, and me coming back to this board.

This board is not perfect but it just goes to show that sometimes focus can make a huge difference in quality. The webmaster(s) over at SoE probably have way too many chickens in the pot, and the new forums and lack of updates to them since implementation just go to show this. I'm not saying it's their fault -it could have been the SOE managers rushing them/cutting budget or webmasters jumping in with a grand plan and not enough follow through, I could see either situation. But it is what is it. And what it is blows.

Niber, can you please look into this and see if there is a mod we can use to do floating threads? She did send me a RL photo of her breasts as motivation to look into this for her, so I need to come through if possible.

Yeah, than is why this site runs smoother than the SoE boards. Where they just have the hamsters in a wheel, this site has men on a treadmill trying to get to the pics of the boobies.
