The lag is really gone... wow...

But given the technical reason(s), I don't see how this would really help raid zones at all.

There were other unrelated changes made to help out the raid zones.

But the housing change does have a benefit to the rest of the world, because all interactable non-NPC objects in the world act like house items. They're just not as concentrated as in a well-decorated house.

Amazing work.

The SOE Devs are really at the top of their game lately. Dymus was obviously holding them down. ;)

In the past 3 months EQ2 has evolved Tremendously.

With the focus on fixing things of old, the number of bugs in game have dropped A LOT!

Props

I noticed the lack of lag last night when raiding. We did a short night - Chel'Drak then Freethinkers'. Partway through Freethinkers', it struck me that I had not turned down my graphics from when I was running around collecting the fucking [I don't wish to control my language] statuettes for the SoD quest line. I run around with Extreme Quality + distance rendering set to max (E6600, 8800GTX, 4GB RAM). It was only when I was in close quarters, so that particle effects were filling much of the screen, that I noticed lag.

Good job. Now just kick Tony Garcia in the groin and tell him to write a real epic quest, not a remake of Speak As A Dragon or Tarton's Wheel.
