I don't understand the desire for smaller content. I feel like I've been cheated. I was a huge fan of EverQuest during Ruins of Kunark and Scars of Velious and I like outdoor and dungeon design like that more than anything. I was hoping Vanguard would be like that, but they fucked that game to hell worse then they fucked the original EverQuest.

I want to play the game, not jerk off to scenery on the 8 hour trip to where the game is.

I just hope they go easy on filling raid zones with trash mobs. Sometimes poking my eye with a fork sounds appealing.

I don't mind the concept of long raid zones, but when the vast majority of that time is killing billion-HP trash, fuck that shit.

There's a fine line between too much trash and too little. Palace of the Ancient One for example; it seems to take the average raidforce quite a while to clear the first area to get to the two nameds. And they rarely drop any chests. The same can be said for Shard of Hate (although a couple of times I've gone in there and had an amazing amount of chest drops from trash).

Overrall the devs get it right most of the time I think. But no-one wants to spend half an hour grinding trash mobs (with no reward) to get to a named. That's why most people take the shortcut in VP to get to the hub.

It's the same with the majority of the TSO group instances too. Who wants to spend ages grinding through trash in places like Najena's Hollow when you can whizz through Deep Forge in less than half an hour?
