Whats there to farm anymore? I think its fine. In WoW, you can farm greys to your heart's content and they drop all the loot, do achievements on greys at level 80, and its been that way since launch.

The only catch, and I think its a huge one - would be on PvP. Not sure how mentoring works there now (does a level 80 get credit for killing a level 80 mentored to 50?)

When the DoF master days pt 2 hit (when masters started dropping off trash earlier this year) - I would bribe someone 2pp to just mentor them, then I'd go off and clear Living Tombs. All this does now is saves me a bit of coin and a bit of headache trying to find someone. I think it would also open a number of doors previously unavailable, such as doing low level raid content for AA without needing true lowbies. Its not like any of that old gear is really useful, and most of it sucks compared to the crafted gear anyways.

I'm sure people could come up with other negative reasons, I'd be curious to hear them - but I don't think farming of old shitty gear is one of them.

All I can say how let down I was. We getting new 10 lvl but nothing really new add to the game. I want somthing new Ie class I don't care what it is . I have played for 5 years now and still the same shitty options for class. I am actualty think of going back to eq1 or wow atleast they add stuff for the us to play.

As long as they make up for the abomination that is the 70-80 cycle and don't repeat it 80-90 it'll be fine. RoK had contested dungeons too and it meant fuck all to the game because of the overall design so the mere promise of such content is not enough.

Dunno why people are so upset that the expansion is named Odus.. the underlying eq1 areas really got very little bearing on how the eq2 expansion will shape up.
