To me this seems like more shard set gear

Shard 2 gear = easy
Shard 3 (x2) = medium
Shard 4 (x4) = hard

The fucking zones are the same the trash and most of the npc models are the same. The only time wasted is the developer designing the encounters. Which if likely doesnt have the time to make 3 different encounters will probably just remove effects and lower the amount of damage on aoe's.

Personally I rather have a completely different encounter with each tier of difficulty. It would be less boring and repetative. Whats the difference from this and whats happening right now? Half the time zone art is reused anyway. boo fucking hoo so they are designing a bunch of protector realm type fights for casaul raid guilds.

To me it sounds like a good buisness decision and a good allocation of resources by reusing content and allowing the devs to create more content with similar amount of work. Although personally I think they should just keep it at 2 tiers of difficulty (easy/hard), 3 may be a bit ambitous. If they keep 3 hopefully easy tier replaces all the x2 content and allows quality players good content to 2 group.

Weather or not you think they deserve anything, it is in Sony's best interest to create content that a much larger portion of it's player base will actually enjoy. I'm hoping this new difficulty system lives up to my expectations... but well... never mind hope is a terrible emotion to have.

Having raid zones that only 1% of the 1% will see just isn't viable anymore in a modern business model imo. I will withhold my judgment on the new concept until I see the new raid zone in GU53.

They don't have zones only 1% of the 1% ever see, they have bosses that 1% of the 1% see.

I also meant they get what they PAY for. SOE doesn't artificially limit content to anyone, you pay the sub you get access to everything. Its not up to them to play the game for you.

These are just more entitlement issues from the casuals. They feel entitled to every bit of content, art, what have you in this game. I'LL NEVER SEE YKESHA, I'LL NEVER SEE ANASHTI, I'LL NEVER SEE MUNZOK.

They don't focus on the million things they do get, like free masters, its always the five things they don't currently have. When they get those, and they will, it will be something else.

I hate whiny bitches who feel the need to have their hand on everything without, I dunno, playing the game the intended way in order to see that shard of content.

I don't know if you where in the panel where Brenelo was talking about his 74 troub with 20plat and how the cost of masters was prohibitive for most players (justifying the research assistants).

He also said that non-raiders pay the same as everyone else and they deserve to see the zones also.

This is not an argument one way or the other just pointing out how the man in charge feels about it.

Gage: I wasn't trying to convince you I'm just saying that almost 2 years into the 80 level cap he only has a 74 with 20plat so its pretty easy to see why he supports the things he supports.
