Re: EVERQUEST II SENTINEL'S FATE - next expansion
Yeah, the animal/human mix is getting old. They got a little more creative with the void beasts, so I don't understand why they can't keep making unique creatures like that. I would have prefered Odus to be more like a MajDul city instead of a starting city. The cities are pretty barren now, so I just don't see the sense in spreading it out even more.

Yeah, one of the great things about EQ2 is how there weren't 80000000000 starting cities, with sparse populations.

Re: EVERQUEST II SENTINEL'S FATE - next expansion
well, the sparse city populations now are due to guild halls. In EQ1, the cities were empty because there was very little reason to return to them on a regular basis. I think adding every single city amenity to guild halls was a bad idea to begin with.

Cities were effectively empty long before guild halls--unless you count people sitting around the broker not saying or doing anything as meaningful.

One of the things I hated about the original Zelda was that there was no civilization aside from the occasional man in the cave.

The Zora's had a civilization too, until you slaughtered all their medical professionals and they died of a plague. Thanks a lot asshole.

Absolutely right Deson, cities were dead before that.
I miss the original EQ before the bazaar and RoK were introduced, the eastern commonlands tunnel filled with 200 or so people all auctioning items, it felt like a real swap meet. It was a great place to meet people and just mingle and talk shit.
