RoK in EQ2 was about what it was in EQ1, quality wise. People just remember things better than they were. Velious was a masterpiece in comparison.

I always felt like I was in the minority in thinking that. Not to say that people talked trash about Velious... Just alot of the older hardcore raiders from EQ1 used to put RoK on a much higher pedestal. For me it was definitly Velious. One of the few expansions I could always go back and play without feeling any boredom or repetitiveness.

Vellious was far and away my favorite EQ1 expansion. However good it was in EQ1 is meaningless for EQ2

As well as anything else. Until the shader revamp goes through, pretty much everything will run it like shit.
