Who the hell is Ron O'Hara?
Ok so I came across this thread over on the SOE boards about if the various developers play and what kind of things they do/enjoy. In the middle of this thread is the first and currently only post by a developer named KidRon, whose real name appears to be Ron O'Hara. You can read his reply here:

The things that obviously caught my eye is that this guy is in a hardcore raid guild, he rushes home to play everyday, raiding takes up most of his ingame time, and then of course, he is a guardian.
If someone who works with this guy can get him to start posting here or posting more or something that would be great. More hardcore raider devs damnit.
I dont want to know what guild this guy is in (because obviously I would make a big deal out of that), I just want to see more posts from raider devs. How come this guy never posts? Shouldnt he be the one backing us up when we tell the casual gamers fuck off, we need more raid content? Where has this guy been hiding. Someone get him out of his shell.

Re: Who the hell is Ron O'Hara?
Yeah i saw that he seems like a player who became a recent hire and if he was smart he prollly shouldn't say who he is or what guild. i rather see more devs playign like this guy then a dev who says he has a lvl 56 guard and he has been working on eq2 for the past 5 years. I am sure hopeful we will see more from him as soon as he is settled.

He's definitely new, and that's the first time I've even seen his name. If he is a hardcore raider I'm sure he's familiar with the site and probably frequents it. Maybe this will encourage him to post a hello.
I'd love to learn at least what he does. Is he just starting out? Does he do level design? Art? Coding?

He doesn't do spelling, that's for sure. Laboratory of Lord Vyeem ftw. Ok so it doesn't fucking matter, but it's awesome he can provide feedback to the devs from a raider point of view.
I bet he's buddies with Archonix though!

I think I know which guild, but I will not spread gossip (serious not trying to be a firestarter)
But, I agree. Please make it a requirement for devs to have a level 70 character maybe even two and force them to raid their own content, even if it is during work hours.

Best of all, ever, was the EQ2 "spokesmodel" who won the Miss Antonia contest that was held in connection with the first Fanfaire. Anna was chosen based on her look and chest configuration.
I'm only saying this now because I think there is zero chance she will ever read this, let alone even remember EQ2 two years after getting her check.
But I heard that girl was so dumb, one of the devs had to help powerlevel her character to level 6, just so someone could do an interview and suggest she was an actual gamer and EQ2 player.
We've come a long way since then.

From the pictures I saw, she looked most like Antonia Bayle. And wasn't that the point?

Actually, I was there. Cat, the EQ2 lead audio dev, looked more like Antonia than any of those bimbo contestants.
