ORLY? I didn't expound, but I'm sure I got the meat of your posts. You're crying because you don't have insta port to any dungeon in the game. And everyone else is telling you that a Call and a Bell is pretty much just as fast.

To each his own. If you think the however low travelling times are justified, have fun. I don't.

Re: Auto-Mentoring
Try travelling in EQ1, pre POP.
I dont know how they could really reduce travel times much further without giving you a drop down menu asking you where you'd like to go!

But Wizards and Druids in the entirety of Norrath have had portal spells. Why in the fuck would that suddenly suck once we can self mentor?

Because I think they want to sandbox mode a zone, run down to named at 80, pop to 20 kill the named and bugger off at 80.
Auto mentoring is going to be a bit pointless as they've dumbed down aa exp. You can get 200AA's doing fuck all now.
Where you had 80's helping newbs out in lower zones to mentor for the named/quests of that zone, all they've done is removed the incentive for people to do that for AA, further reducing the use of lower level zones. The only people going to use the feature are people who like lore and stuffz.

Re: Auto-Mentoring
This is nothing more than a new toy on PVE, and something rather huge on PVP...
Before on PVP you had level lockers with max AA... for that level. They took away combat AAxp for level locking in the last patch so there won't be too much more new people doing that over the next few months... but when you level locked at 30, you could only get, what 50aa?
Now you can get to 80, get 200 (or 250 or whatever it's going to be) and then self mentor down to 30... with 250 AA. That's a pretty big difference.
And then if you can't switch from mentored to unmentored without going to town, but you CAN switch from self mentor to standard mentor... Kick ass with a lvl 30... avoid reprisals by suddenly being 79.
