I have said it to many times to count. THIS SHOULD HAVE BEEN DONE AT LAUNCH. The only thing I think is that it should not just turn grey, it should be on a scale like skills. That would make it much more lucid and an overall better system.

Maybe im thinking of something completely different....but from what ive seen, the gear will scale depending on class. In other words, an item with 6 crit and 6 da might read 6 for a true dps class, but maybe 2 for classes such as utilty or a healer.

at least it is a way to get people into old content which is deserted otherwise. Not only are newer players left out of a huge chunk of content (T5/6/7 Raids - many people dont even know that exists) as well as it gets impossible to do that content as you wont ever find 24 people to do a T5-6-7 raid (only exception now: AA - made people go back there (once) but some people enjoy doing that stuff during leveling) Do you think there is any chance nowadays to complete Claymore, Peacock etc? Sad thing.
Sure not everyone wants that, maybe only a minortiy - but due to the people you need at least extremely difficult for the raid content. Especially if you have to without mentored friends which makes everything 1-groupable, which is not an experience imho.

Hurray for raiding at level 89 for a month or two with the xp slider set at 100% AA.

Ok, maybe not, but there is huge scope for this to be a clusterfuck.

That has partly to due with the new crit system.. basically as a wizard I will probably have 100% crit multipler for spell damage only...thus any item with +10 crit (for example) that I can use will give me the max amount of +spellcrit from the item... in that case it would be +10 spell crit... (each class will have their own base crit multipliers from the start)

Does anyone know if they are consolidating spell crit and spell crit bonus?

I think spell crit bonus is still going to be separate from crit chance. I think that this consolidation is a good move for the devs to make balanced items, but a bad move for player choices. If a SK wants to max his spell crit and doesn't care about taunt crits, he will have to work twice as hard to achieve it.

Thinking of my alt, I hope that the Fury stances modify the multiplier. So the healing stance gives 100% heal mult and 50% dps mult but switching to the dps stance would switch them.

So you think it should work like mit now except with clarity? Why so?

I played EQ1 and from that experience I just don't see the need for the treadmill. Just being stingier with bonuses seemed perfectly fine then and does still now. Fyreflyte originally had my support because it looked like he was smart enough to make good gear have tradeoffs and create reasons why you'd wear some gear and not others but for whatever reasons he couldn't keep that up.

It should, but not this much. 33% penalty is just crazy.
