Wearing the same gear now at lvl 80 then the same gear at lvl 90 will lower your effectiveness, forcing you into current level gear, with minimal additions to stats and bonuses when comparing 80 to 90 gear.

Its a way for them to not increase the caps on stats which most players are at for their class and still force players to get different and new gear, funneling them into a set gear choice for their class, which theyve mostly done with tso.

Your lvl 89 and you kill a level 90 mob and level to 90. Due to gear scaling your gear becomes so much less effective that that level 90 mob becomes harder to kill then it was at 89.

If that happens SOE is fucking retarded.

um thats probably it exactly. level 80 gear good till 89 then at 90 your gear will be reduced in usefullness.

I doubt it as you will be able to get new gear either like the shard gear now or just playing get better gear.

I doubt you will suddenly become useless when you hit 90 and still have your fabled T8 set. If that happened then sure... the sky is falling.. but I doubt it be like that.

That would be just retarded really. People do work hard 2 get there gear soe saying o gj on that now when your 90 that gear is goin to get weaker is just wrong. They should be the ones 2 make people want 2 get out of that gear without doing something like this.

Really though some people are using chokers thats lvl 70 stuff now really wouldn't some people still be using that at 90 if there wasn't something that upgraded it.

I am not saying useless what I am saying is as you level regardless of what you are wearing you should always get stronger. You shouldn't gain a level and then all of a sudden be weaker. When this was on BETA last year it was completed fucking retarded. Spells like tsunami weren't giving 100% riposte because they were DoF spells and from a lower tier.

If they do this the difference have to be small enough that the increases from level offset the decreases in gear.
