EQOA was pretty fucking good game. I wouldn't mind to have a "sequel".

Only reason it kind of failed was lack of advertising, and maybe that at that point online gaming on PS2 was pretty new thing ect ect. Not the actual game's fault for sure.

You mean like FFXI? That was on PS2 and is on Xbox 360, and it has a far more in depth combat system than EQ2, and about three times as many subs, too.

Flipmode

EQOA was way less easy mode than EQ2 just for the record. You had to grind. Some mobs would actually kill you if you messed up. Not this zone every five minutes, easymode raid game loot pinata of a game you play. Just sayin.

Plus, not every character was the same. You got to choose your build. You could tell a good player from a bad one, especially a chanter.

Flipmode

They actually canned an expansion that was 90% complete for the game. SOE killed it intentionally. Who would play a game that was better than EQ2 in almost every way but graphically? Sure seems convienient. They didnt advertise. They didnt staff the game. So it has its last few remaining subs and then it will die eventually.

Flipmode

most of the people who played used a usb keyboard. And believe it or not, the ps2 controller is far better for moving your character than a mouse. Dont knock it until you try it.

Yeah, i played on EU server, Stone Watchers, and they never released Frontiers here. We waited for it long, but for nothing. Never heard about 2nd expansion though.

You push autoattack and then use 1 weapons skill like every 30 seconds. I think you are confusing in-depth with boring again, Rhaz.

Would like EQ3 and it has possibilities of being great, even if PS3s have it etc...

personally prefer the keyboard/mouse setup, although I have to admit that PS3 gamepad does have a little more functionality in maybe 1 or 2 ways (ie the directional knobs...)

It wouldn't need to be easymode either... people who play with controllers all the time are used to that so they just get used to certain combinations for different manouvers... could have hold down L1 and then move your left knob in 12 different directions for different combat arts... etc.
