Little is known of this new project. It’s existence was revealed in the Jase Hall production ‘EverCracked’. Mentioned by Smedley.


Platform: PC, PS3, or both


EQ1 and EQ2 subscriber numbers are both up so would presumably be a third concurrent game in the series.


Project has no official title.

Best thing about EQOA, a full game with no zoning. Running from qeynos to freeport took like 25-45minutes and you found cool things along the way like small outposts and other stuff. It felt the zones you were exploring were actually huge.

I dont think a ps3/pc game would work well, it would have to be dumbed down for the ps3 in terms of the user interface, hotkeys and over all controls unless they made a keyboard/mouse for the ps3.

i am fundamentally opposed to MMO gaming on any console platform

until i get a fully programmable keypad+mouse UI device setup for consoles, i'll stick with PC's. gamepad controllers just don't jive very well with MMO's for me.

You can't "fully program" it ie remap keys very easily but ps3 fully supports pretty much any standard USB Keyboard/Mouse. I think its stupid to play mmo's from a ps3 but in alot of ways it probably won't be much different than on the PC.
