The raid gear now is slick but possibly too slick and it's burning up whatever opportunities are left in this tier.
The problem is, there's no where to go inside the tier. A new tier is required so we can start over with proper item progression. Fact is, progression right now is sloppy due to half the items being created with an older combat system in mind, and the other half with a new combat system in mind. This is the problem.

There is absolutely, positively, no way that they can add another expansion without raising the level cap. It would be completely worthless, there is no room at all for progression in this tier, if the fact that tanks no longer give two shits about mitigation isn't a hint, I don't know what is.

This tier is so fucked up already the game would go to the shitter so fast there would be no way for it to ever recover. Not to mention, what the hell are they spending all this time on if they aren't raising the cap? It has to be lower level zones, cause there is no way they are adding pure 60-70 content, KoS covered that, there is no need for a second expansion on it. So, that leaves us with what, another EoF with 1-70 content, which will be way overkill considering the incredibly large amount of lower level content that already exists? Yeah, I'll politely decline and cancel my sub if that happens. Bottom line; there needs to be a level cap because this game has nowhere left to go. Oh, and it needs to be pure 70-80 or 70-75, whatever it may be.

Uhhhh... well, if the devs are going to look at what the people say more often then I suppose good changes will be made!

My stance on new higher tier? I dunno... really...

I'd like to see a raise in the level cap up to 80 for sure. I think most of my reasons have already been stated by others.

Or what they could do would be increase the cap to 75. Then 5-6l months later bump it to 80 and release additional content to fully finish out the cap increase. The time-released content would help keep things feeling fresh and innovative and maybe keep people from getting bored with the content so quickly.

Perhaps that wouldn't be cost effective for SOE?

In reguards to the Poll: yeah things have gotten better and in talking with some dev's via the eq2players boards things are looking up. There is alot of new members to the dev team...which means lots of new ideas. I think Kunark is going to be the make or break it expanstion for eq2, well raider's point of view anyway.

In terms of progression...yeah they will have to cap increase to hold attention thats for sure or at least a very large AA system.

I'd like to see them split the spell tree's via questlines. IE make a choice go this path get more dps, but no buffs upgrades or go Debuff lines but dont get bigger heals etc...just some sort of non AA system that will make you pick a path of advancment and specialization with pro's and con's on both sides of the choice.
