I guess you're right.
I was sort of tunnel visioned on raid exploits.
Which really don't get kept on the downlow for long if they mattered because someone in the guild (whether it be an app or someone ready to bail) is always going to run their mouth to a buddy in another top guild no matter how secretive you try to be about it...

10 minutes later it's on flames under "Your Guild Sucks", screenshots and all!

and that is what in my opinion, makes them the best.
most people who browse here can start a sentence with "Remember when EL/CL/Malice/Disso/NPU/SD/Other did ____"

and quite frequently it has a funny/awesome story to it.

Hey, all First post. Been reading for years though.

So sharing some old school exploits:
Trade or sell a collection item. Examine the item right before the trade and when the "confirmation" window is open and you can select that you want to add the item to your collection open a trade with the item and trade it off. Then select "yes" and you will have the item added to your collection and the recipiant will have the item.

on PvP, unplugging your modem when you were attacked by another player instantly removed your character from the game. OOoo the days when a Necro pet would one-shot players, that was fun.

The dual core "warping" would have been fun.

Not that I have ever used any exploits, I just herd about these.

The Matron 1-shot exploit. By far the best I've seen. SoE thought they fixed it with Ken-Oh.

They forgot that there was another mob... I forget the name of her, but she's the ring event named right before you go thru the cave tunnel to get to Matron's area. Coercer stayed in raid, but out of combat far from raid. Raid killed first 2 named, then coercer would possess named, and use her "Inflicts 100% of max health on target" spell.

Boom, Matron dead in literally 2 secs.

Took SoE like a month to figure this one out.

i used to sell crystallized essences, i made like 60g, true story!

petgroup smashed my dream of being the big shot of this thread...


the only actual exploit i figured out before anyone else though was back when you would turn ward potions on auto consume that they would auto consume with a 0 second actual refresh timer(no one ever used those fucking things..), so you got warded with any hit of that damage type, worked wonders on DoTs with lazy ass healers. worked well for our first kills on trak and byzola at the time.

Mayongs head bugged on me and i was able to keep getting the rewards and keeping the head. Only down part was that it emoted to the entire zone so i had to do this at like 4 am when the zone population was low as hell. I made a good amount of plat off this and seling to the npc. I think thats how jagerr ended up getting mastered out that teir to be honest.

People used that on PVP all the time.

Friend of mine was duping items using the guild bank. Apparently if you took an item (say, 2 pristine repair materials) and two people tried to split the stack at the same time, it would bug out to the max stack.

nobody posted on the character duping involving transfers?

I guess people never wondered why the automated service went down?

It was good fun, could totally xfer the duped char to SE for free and sell it.
