Not every thread is "fuck you mother fuckers i fucking hate you stupid fucking fucks". There are back and forth arguements, there are pro this, anti that posts. There are also legitimate rants and even some raves. This whole message board is a melting pot of everything allowed and not allowed on the official SOE boards.

I for one cannot post on the SOE boards because of idiots and immature people who are somehow offended by the string [expletive deleted hax0rd by Raijinn]. If there is a meaningful discussion going on and some retard interupts like his word is the gospel while being factual inaccurate and/or just plain wrong, your damn right Im going to tell them what a dumbass they are. But no, now I get banned for that. Wich is the reason I think SOE hates this site.

This site promotes free speach and actually saying what is on your mind. SOE wants to encourage retards and ignorant fucks to post because anything remotely negative or untrue they can squach so easily, but if someone with half a brain posts something negative it is a lot harder.

So whatever, leave the offical boards to the grade school drop-outs, the inbred idiots, and all other forms of moronic individuals that plague them. Anything worth a damn ever said over there will be mimic'd back here and with a much more intense, truthful, honest discussion.

Didn't mean to imply that there weren't, or that every thread is a fuck you post. Of course they aren't.

But most of the forum thread titles alone are "fuck this, fuck you, blow me" threads. And the moderates are not going to feel welcome. And not all moderates are idiots.

Not saying this forum should change (hell no!), just that the more moderate poeple are unlikely to come here. This is sorta like the PvP server of forums, and some people just don't go for that.

for the most part, i don't mind the things they change. i'm looking forward to the next big update.
the two things that i honestly disagree with that they've done are:
1) LU13
2) releasing huge combat changes at the same time as new content and level cap increases (hey, let's run around and get killed by solo mobs cuz we have no idea what the fuck happened to our class!)

Websites like this have always been part of various different MMO's.

When I played EQ1 there was a website called the NamelessTavern, where essentially all the high end people came and flamed each other for being dicks, or just flaming SoE in general~

And that is exactly what the EQ2 boards are missing.

You may have a lot of "fuck you topics" but you are more likely to have a good argument here, and actually find useful information than anywhere else.

Could not even begin to agree with you more LFG.

I will be the first to admit that many posts in the "official" forums become flame fests just begging for a lock, however many of the good posts with actual feedback that could help the game get locked by some idiot who can't take the heat of the opposing view.

It also sucks knowing that if you go against someone in a post with 14,000 other posts who is a clear suck up kiss ass you wind up getting trashed by them or a warning because 14,000 posts obviously make them the "expert".
