Doesn't language start with the black boxes that drop from the flying clockworks from the center of the gears outside Klak? Get a black box, inspect it and it says talk to a guy in gnomeland hq.

That's all I know, could be wrong.

That does seem to be the starter but as of a while ago the questline just stopped after collecting the 5 additional black boxes, no language given. Perhaps they have added it in, but I did it as of the previous LU before this one (32? Where are we again? meh) with no other quests opened up (that I'm aware of at least).

Okay please define the difference.. I've heard conflicting answers.. maybe this should be it's own thread.

if you don't want the nerd points that's fine; However i heard they are a hot commodity in Japan.

In my opinion the difference between NERD and GEEK (other than the stigma), is the lack of social experience.

A nerd is someone who has little to 0 social skills.

A geek is well above a nerds social skills.

Technically, nerds and geeks can be similar, but with the exposure to the social experience. The geeks usually are less technical.

Never less I took your comment as a complement.

And I hope your "guidelines" expand to guys with a silver tongue.

;)

This is along the lines of my definition then, as I consider a nerd to be one who is intelligent or pursues knowledge to the exclusion of social skills, whereas the geek would attempt to fit in but would not. So I think my nerd points should still stand, since I'd consider binary to ascii a bit more of a technical knowledge

Thats just a quest (actually one quest followed by another, which has you kill that large "inactive clockwork" in one of the pits. ) They have nothing to do with the language.
