I'm sorry but do you not know that ALL the avatars were cleared before the instanced content? Do you know what PROGRESSION is supposed to mean?

You don't fucking have the CONTESTED content, that's supposed to COMPETITIVE within the entire server, get cleared before the 24/7 always available instance content. They completely fucked up all progression in this expansion. It's like EoF only 10x worse. Like they saw the idea of the same pieces dropping in diff. zones for EoF and said, let's just fuck the entire thing up worse than EoF tried to!

There's no god damn progression when the mobs that should be the very last thing you kill, Avatars, are cleared before instances. Which are supposed to be gearing you up to take on Avatars (IE: an example of progression). However, that shit didn't happen!

Nor did it surprise me. I know its a double edged sword when it comes to raid difficulty, but IMO it's not that fucking hard to make two different types, which is hopefully what they plan on doing. IMO every expansion should take at least 3 months for the most hardcore guilds to get through the raid content, it doesn't even take them 1/3 of that time. That would mean it would take a great, more-casual, raiding guild around 5-6 months, meaning there'd be only about 3-5 months of "farming" before the next expansion, OR 3-5 motnhs of attempting avatars. If you look at killing mobs as the only progression, then yes it would taken even less time. Which is another point of mine, there's hardly shit to their lore and progression. If they tried even half as hard as EQ1 did in LATER expansions, when all the good writers were gone, we'd have an amazing end game right now. Instead they give simple bullshit quests like, go here kill these 3 nameds, then you can zone into raiding t2's zones, and kill 2 nameds, then you can do t3.

Give actual quests, that people have to get together to do group shit for to be ready for end game progression. Not the damn SoF or TSO questline that END in a raid mob being killed. They need an epic progression line for every expansion, and it needs to have a lore and make fucking sense (difficulty, store-wise, everything).

Which doesn't happen!

They need to make difficult raid encounters and thats that. They're RAID encounters, save the easy shit for GROUPING, SOLOING, DUOING. If people want easy raids, have them pay for some extra x2 bullshit that real raiders that have been around this game 3-4 years don't really want to deal with except on an off night.

FFS stop making the game easy and make raiding fun again.

nah, contesteds should be easier than the instance content if you really want them to be contested. Otherwise, the first guild to gear up in instances can lock down the contested stuff. Domini may be gimp as hell, but at least there were contests for them. They just needed better loot to keep people wanting to kill them.

Then the gear needs to be worse than instanced gear. That's not the case. The RvR (itemization vs difficulty) for avatars is, and generally has been, way the fuck out of whack.

Oh what's that, it has an insanely low chance to drop(a lot lower than the 5% Zam's information is "claiming"), Vzee'rist's Sash of Draining. Yeah, so maybe you should try playing this game more than making up shit.

And yeah, if there is ultra rare(we're talking once every 200-300 runs) drops, then yes they can be really good, that isn't a problem. It gives raiders something to do when they aren't raiding.

This is also the reason why the Rune Etched Helm drops off such an easy mob, because it's not very common.
