Funny stuff regarding VS! That fight is really simple now. A better fix would've been to widen the limits.
I'm going to guess that the current Myths are going the way of the do-do next expansion. There's a dev post somewhere in the conj forums or maybe a fan faire comment stating that Conj/Necro mythical pets are NOT levelling up to 90.
Hopefully this means there will be a quest for an upgraded version and SoE isn't doing the Eq1 thing of obsoleting the class specific weapons the following expansion. There was alot of justified heartache back then, iirc.

I wouldn't go that far. You still have to have someone clicking. That would mean MT, 2 healers, chanter, and 1 dps. It might be doable but it would be a pita. It already was easy with 2 groups but I don't think that this change makes it easier to drop more people; you still will be burning him the same amount.

They said at fan fair that mythicals were going to be turned into a clicky and/or charm item or something like that. They said that they would no longer be the best weapon but would still be useful by other effects. According to the leveling pattern of summoner pets, it would stop leveling at 86 or 87, so that is an issue in itself. IMO, that is a good thing; I don't want to have the same weapon for 4 years o.O

yeah at some point they made it so that just one person in the raid needed CoD access instead of everyone - and that opened the door to a ton of guilds that couldnt beat VS.
But at launch of RoK it was everyone that needed it, that is why so few guilds were in VP for the longest time.
