Everytime they nerf shit I get personally insulted. What, am I too STUPID or RETARDED to figure shit out on my own or be able to watch my fucking mana? What kind of fail moron do they take me for? Fuck pugs if they can kill VS...it's like one of those things that weed people out - if you suck so much to the point where you can't control your own mana, then you don't deserve a mythical.
This nerf, like all other nerfs, seriously offends me. I am soo pissed right now.

No Obiken, that's not how shit works. Either the newcomers adapt to the game that's not a fucking cakewalk, or they move on. SOE doesn't exactly have only one game bringing them income, though this may be their primary (I have no idea about that, other than they have more than one source of income from online games).
Instead, the game has been done in the exact reverse faction; and it is continually dumbed down, and dumbed down, until at one point; they're going to piss the raiders off so much that they leave the game and all the casuals will wonder where to spend their money on the raid loot they can't obtain on their own.
They need to keep things hard, and make them harder IMO; not dumb shit down. When an aspect of an encounter is legitimately bugged and affecting the outcome of the encounter more than even 5-10% of the time it's done (so yes every 100 times you did the mob, it would fuck up 5-10 times maybe due to pathing irregularites, what-have-you); sure fix it to make the encounter work. That doesn't nec. mean making the encounter easier; though that is the easiest way to remove a problematic aspect of an encounter, completely remove it.
However, they've taken the eraser approach far too often for people bitching about how hard the game is. When, as far as I can tell, it hasn't been hard since ~LU13 to KoS when mobs were critting (since removed until TSO). For fuck's sake the contested content was cleared before the instances were in TSO. Fuck THAT.

I'm all for having end game content difficult, although....
We are in the expansion after this content was released with the next one announced. I'm not sure why everyone is getting so butt hurt over OLD content. I can see the complains if they dumb down CURRENT content but for hell sakes people...
You can't make everyone happy all the time. Have fun playing and don't sweat the small stuff.

I loled at that. But I don't really agree with the rest of your post. I am a raider so I get where you are coming from, but they should not make things harder. If you look at other games like WoW, their raid content gets cleared in 7 days. In this game, it is months before everything gets cleared. There is a very clear progression in this game and if everything was harder, there would be even fewer raiders. Most servers have 2 (if that) guilds that are killing avatars; raiding is not even close to being easy in this game. I don't care that they nerfed VS; it just means that when alts need the kill in the guild, we don't have to beat our heads because someone fell asleep in the fight.
If any mob was ever preventing people from getting thier myth, it wasn't this one. If there is a noob trying to get the kill, you can just have him die and stay dead the entire fight.

Having said that .. when you compare VS, Levi, Nexona and Druusk it was obvious to everyone that VS was a little out of balance and in need of adjustments.

umm, even though it was easy to get power down, it makes it a hell of a lot easier with this change.
Before, you had to turn power regen off so you didn't go over the limit. With regen that is in groups, you never have to worry about dipping in power again. Being at 50% power and getting hit with mana sacrifice is going to be a lot different than being at 95% power and being hit with it. If you think otherwise, then you have never killed VS.

It was never much of a issue because of what you said HOWEVER you will have more ROOM to steady your mana meaning it will be VERY VERY easy to keep your mana above the min far far far easier than before making this mob one of the easier mobs in the game considering he hits like a puss and really does not have many hps.

Ohh yeah it will make him easier no doubt especially with all the power regen in the game now. All I was saying was I never even considered having "too much mana" as one of the major obsticles in this fight. I was always more worried about the low end.
