I second this. If the rent isn't paid they don't get my plat. Pay your dang rent and you might sell your items faster.
To the OP:
The VDC or any other type of similar item you get through this campaign isn't going to change the supply and demand problem for crafted goods just because you can now list your items at a lower price more competitively. If there is more supply than demand you still aren't going to sell anything regardless of what box you put it in.

Re: Signature Quest for a 10% Broker Fee Sales Crate
I can't say that I understand the OP's issues. I am not a vet, I don't have a VDC and yet, I have no issues making money from Player Crafted items or adventure items on the broker. I also own a house which I have two display cases for, and make sure my rent is paid, so people can come and avoid the broker free if they so desire. Money is easy to make in this game, at least on PVP servers. The economy on my server is strong, and always has been, and with the v’kor merge coming up I can only imagine it will get stronger.
Although I am not a vet, I would assume that economies or PVE severs are not and will probably never be as strong as they are on PVP sites. You just don’t have the constant motivation of either getting ganked / wanting to gank other players , to make you really want to upgrade all of your spells / gear prior to cap and as often as possible. (correct me if I am wrong).
I have ZERO issue with VDCs on my server. I have been playing this game for a little over 6 months, I don't know have a money issue, all of the shit I craft I am able to turn around and sell for a very nice profit. Sometimes the market does take a dive and you lose a few gold here and there, but comes with the territory.
In short, OP, quit bitch and moaning. Either go farm your mats, figure out what really sells on the broker, get a house with a display case, but for heaven sakes just let it go.
Or…. Go try WoW, they like your kind over there.

TY
Not only was this my first post, but this OP irritated me so much I actually registered just to post that (Sad? maybe).
I just cannot stand whinny entitlement driven players that have the "that's not fair" attitude. I play this game, and not other MMOs, because its hard and challenging (although easier from what it used to be). I don’t want a level playing field, I want it to be slightly imbalanced, that what gives this game it’s realism. I don’t want my hand handled all the time (unless she's hot), throw me to the wolves and let me fight for the liver. If they don’t like that kind of play style, there is about 100 other MMOs out there to accommodate them. Don’t come to this one trying to whine & complain about some stupid bull shit like the VDCs.

Re: Signature Quest for a 10% Broker Fee Sales Crate
Vet rewards are good in principle, this one is bad in practise, something that had rewarded vets without being an effective penalty to other players would be better.
Mockingbird, in answer to your question our guild has at least 1 level 80 crafter in each discipline, we have most of the faction recipes, but not all.
Some posters trying to derail the thread with teenage language & posturing is a pretty transparent tactic, if you hear something accurate, but isn't what personally benefits you, & you can't fight it on the logic - go for insults, so in that spirit...
Balihai, lol, I think I can see the strings moving your hands and feet, thunderbirds style. Yes, it was very brave, registering on a vets forum to pander to some vet's blatant self-interest, I'm sure some of the veterans here might be happy to lend you some kneepads for your next brave move. If you really did want to pwn more, you'd want to earn equally too, because cash is power in the marketplace & you wouldn't volunteer to stay debuffed in that competition, anymore than you'd volunteer to be debuffed in PvP if you wanted to achieve.
Back on topic, thanks though to those who actually discussed the issue in any meaningful way, there are plenty of ways to adapt to the imbalance, & we do, it doesn't make an imbalanced market the best state though.
By the by, if some of you get around to owning a passport & leaving your fishbowl, you'll be shocked to find the only people in the world who assume that everyone wants to be american too, are americans. There's a whole big world out there.
Now I'm heading back to enjoying all the things I like about the game, possibly also an unpopular viewpoint here, cheers all, enjoy the thread, I'm sure you will ;)

Re: Signature Quest for a 10% Broker Fee Sales Crate
The OP idea is in itself selfish.
He wants a high level signature quest that still griefs low level adventurers in price comparisons.
I however see no issue with a carpenter made LORE low slot count (10 slot) container that uses a a rare item such as a smoldering shard or chromatic essence with the same 50% broker reduction as the veteran case. That everyone can buy. It would take nothing away from veteran accounts and add a competitive market.
Also wasnt there a 25% reduction LON broker case as well.
