Wiith AION coming out, AoC getting great reviews on their recent changes, WoW (yes its a fun game), and LoTRO coming out with an expansion I really cant tell you what is going to keep EQ2 from losing more of its customer base.

I know a few dozen raiders that have quit. A majority have gone to WoW, and the other half have quit due to boredom or got burned out by TSO.

And then you have the MMO frogs like me. They hop to and from the MMO lilypads. Er, yeah.

Yes it happens every summer in every game because for reasons I don't understand people love the summer and don't want to be home.

Although it is much more noticeable in small population games like Vanguard.

GEAR DEGRADATION - Work your ass off for gear now, so that at lvl 81 it can degrade to complete crap.

Aion is nothing to shake a stick at. It has a certain flare to it, but it isn't targeting the EQ2 demographic. The end game in Aion is PvP oriented and is designed like almost like WAR. The graphics engine is good, but the art team is lacking creativity and textures are dull and boring.

Its summer. People are enjoying the outdoors with their families. This happens every year, in every game and has been the case for the past 15 years.

Stop playing Chicken Little regarding the "End of The Game" because a portion of the player base has gone out and enjoyed Real Life for a while.

Aion looks nice but in some screenshots it looks like a prettier Lineage II with wings. This is why a WAR 40k MMO needs to be made. None of this sparkly animu bullshit.

Or in my case, the computer screws up so I play EVE instead, which runs poorly on this but EQ2 runs horrifically. :<

Not to mention alot of peeps left till next expact because they killed everything..not to mention gearing up and getting masters right now is almost worthless knowing that soon the level cap will be raised, even if its months away. Right now i am just saving my money to buy future masters, why waste plat to buy masters now? So basically for me, I am playing the game right now to get money for next expac..that does seem abit boring.
