I see good AND bad in this. Good thing being that this will probably make palace run less boring and a lot quicker than before (hopefully). But the bad thing from this, palace trash parses won't even matter anymore. Oh well though, zonewide parses = better anyway.

well i guess at this point. soe wants the noobs to atleast get half way into the zones. but really with the 2% heal thing? looks like we back to zerg'ing mobs.

Gonna be hard as hell to parse on palace trash as a dirge now that they'll have as few hit points as tomb trash. Pretty pointless to make the most fun part of the zone completely boring like the rest of it. Thanks again SoE!

The 2% hp nerf shouldn't affect guilds that are already clearing content but it will help guilds that struggle at this point. Personally I don't have a problem with this change.

Good changes to keep those struggling guilds progressing through some of the later content, and clearing up some wasted time on trash.

For the super elite guilds this won't really matter, they may still be doing palace or stronghold for loot off the last names if at all, they won't even really notice the nerf, outside of the trash dying faster and them saving some more raid time. At this point they are basicly raiding for charity/alts anyways, waiting for an avatar to spawn. Them unsubscribing due to being out of content or gear to progress would already occur regardless of this change. This may actaully save a few accounts since they can go through this content faster and easier each night without it bothering them because they don't need anything out of the zone. I've seen this in my guild too, every once in a while a recruit or switched main will need patterns so we'll run tomb and palace. Nobody really minds doing tomb caues it only takes like 40 minutes, but people don't feel like doing palace cause it just takes so long with all the damn trash. Raiding for an hour in palace even though I don't need anything isn't really that bad, doing it for 2-3 just makes me sad.

So those players who don't raid 7 days a week get to get a few peices of end game loot to use for a few months, good for them keeps them happy (and subscribing) till expansion comes out.

The Soul Consumption nerf will trivialize a lot of the more difficult Avatar encounters, actually. They are only hard at the beginning to get stable, and with deaths being completely trivial to the encounter now, even that will be a joke.

This is an incredibly bad nerf without some sort of buff to the mobs at the same time.
