Test Server and Raiding
This is just simply a question out of curiousity.
If there was a raiding guild on test that was clearing all the end game content would you rather be on test and help or stay on live? What would keep you on live as opposed to test (or make you go to test)?
Why do you think there is not currently a raiding guild on test clearing all the end game content?

Re: Test Server and Raiding
{ersonly i just think they need to let raid guild copy to test to test out new raids, Get one or two of the top ww guilds, One or two of the guilds just below that and like a casual raid guild and have the content tested by those diffrent guilds, Come up with progression points int he zone as in the casual guild should run into trouble with a mod close to the begining the hardcore guild towards the end and the WW guild with the boss named. Tweeking it so that all guilds can be chalanged in the zone and have raid mob progress.

Probably because most of us are here to play the game, not work it. Plus, if you were one of those copied guilds, you'd constantly hear the old 'you beta tested it, your live accomplishments are tainted' argument.
I bet there are plenty of people that would do it if offered though.

Here lies the problem I believe. We see it every adventure pack, every expansion. You beta tested it, your accomplishment killing the mob is null and void. So, the problem persists as we continue to get end game content that is full of bugs and problems. It feels like live is the testing ground because, well, it is. No one goes to raid on test because the accomplishment of doing something would mean nothing... So, since no one is there to test it we get broke content.
Interesting catch 22.
However, Test is a server just like any other. All the content is there, you can still do everything on Test you can on any Live server. How is it that you aren't playing the game? Sure, you are going to see more broke content than on Live, but isn't that rewarding too? Knowing that you found a bug and saved thousands of other people from having to deal with it and making the game more enjoyable for everyone who plays it?

Re: Test Server and Raiding
Assuming any epic mob changes go to test before they go to live, think of all the WW1sts you could get

So instead we end up with a few guilds who get extra help on killing the final bosses. Haven't you seen the whole discussion of guilds beta testing before?
Honestly, what they need is to have a guild MOVE to test if they want to test content.

Re: Test Server and Raiding
I'd be willing to join a raid guild on Test if such a thing existed and I could transfer my character over from Live. Unfortunately, I don't think it does :-(

Re: Test Server and Raiding
There is a raid guild on test but I don't think they even clear Labs, so can you really call them a raid guild? Hmm.... What is really needed is a full up raid guild who knows what they are doing and is willing to make the server their home. Not just when they aren't playing on Live, but all the time. /shrug

If they can't clear Labs, you can't call them a raid guild.
