Uhm, no. Vanguard is the very best example how hardcores killed a game. It's simple: Hardcores can't maintain an epic MMOG because they are simply not enough. Therefore hardcores have zero rights to have an epic MMOG for themselfes. If they do like they did in Vanguard they ruin the financial base of the game and it ends up as Livegamer crap.
The place where the hardcores have to be in an epic MMOG and be happy for getting that bone is the small niche of contested raid mobs. Not more.
