I was trying to use the wing glide in EQ2 today and was disappointed when it wasn't working... Sure Aion is somewhat geneneric but it has many of the appealing elements of several different MMO's within it and alot of the BS that holds other MMOs back seems to not be so prevalant.

To answer the topic, If you're talking about the EQ2 Raid Community that makes up the bulk of the Flames Community then.. no... EQ2 will outlive Flames. Devs will have gotten what they wanted and have chased the raiders all away. The Casuals are all that will be left and that is fine for SOE... They typically don't come here.

EQ2 Flames will be frequented only by Gage, Otis, Vain, Firmas, and Pink Poodle so they can all talk at each other. LFG will have left aministration of the site to Tuor.

Not true, plenty of raiders have quit EQ2 and still post here. The community has grown beyond the game.

There is actually a tiny amount of people that post here... that have never played EQ2 or a MMO period. Shows what EQ2Flames has grown to be!

Let's take bets and come back in 15 years when EQ2 is still around. Look at how long EQ1 and SWG has lasted. Do you really think the EQ2 servers are going to get shut down in the near conceivable future? Point of this thread please? Lets carebear this shit and move it out of general gameplay.

Aion is awesome because the Koreans haven't had a billion chances to make a MMO and every single one didn't turn into a tedious grindfest with no end game!

Aion is cool for about 10 minutes. Then you realize it is guild wars with wings. There is nothing special or innovative about it and the flying thing gets old real fast. I'm sure it will be another game with large hype and a larger disappointment.
