If I wanted to game with a bunch of prepubescent little boys I would much rather just go back to CoH with my kids. At least there the costume changes are more "interesting" and the gameplay was similar, No end game.

From a game feature/developer pov, nothing would change since you can't simple exchange devs. Maybe they'd invest some money since eq2 and wow have quite disjunct fan bases (especially after years of running). A lot of eq2 players would never play WoW even if eq2 died, so it would be worth it to keep eq2 running.

Maybe a bit more investment to keep the base. Maybe letting eq2 bleed out and keep the highest number of subscribers while reducing maintainance. /shrug

What about NCSoft instead? The graphic depth of Aion integrated with EQ2 gameplay, but allow us to have the wings and fly in EQ2. Now that sounds like a win.

if wow bought wow. they'd merge servers to make 5-6 total. and probaly just release next xpac. let it die/milk what they can out of us. and give everyone on eq2 a month or 2 free for wow. makes sense for them. buy the lil compatition they got, kill it. and get new subs.
