the client stores your station ID and prefills the last one you used, at least it does for me and I assume Hoss, so all you should need to do is put in your password and login unless you are switching between accounts. Then you would need to re-enter your station ID.

yea thats what i was getting at, one account. i just didnt want to assume. people with more than one obviously have to type theirs in.

and yea if you use a ui/mod that lets you put in all your login/pw combos for convenience (and you actually put your pw in) you're fucking insane, and not just because you dont know the ui makers, but having text files of login/pw combos for ANYTHING on your pc falls under the brain damaged category, excuse my comma abuse.

Yeah, that UI mod has the option to not enter the password

Pretty sure the problem is arising because people are changing their password on the computer with the keylogger. When you change your password, I think you have to enter your account name, the answer to your secret question, and whatever else. At that point they would have everything. So yeah, if there's really a recent rash of this, it can be chalked up to sony scaring everyone into changing passwords needlessly.

I always thought this also, but I guess if one was to purge their system correctly then do this they would be ok.
But if someone really jacked my shit and I couldnt really get it back that would just be one dam good reason to quit the game for good.....

Hi,

1) My system is pretty tight meaning; anti virus/rootkit/malware. I schedule and run the tools constantly.

2) Keylogger is hard to believe, in that I did not play the account for months...no keys pressed.

I did use EQinterface and EQ2 maps but again months before the event.

The big question for me was the credits/debits on my account that cancelled each posting out..........that the Support supervisors could not explain, in fact I had to send them screen shots I had captured.

I almost used the event as a good excuse to just quit and walk away but I got pissed off when I realized years of my time and effort went into it and I took it personal. I got lucky and had a good expierence with some of the reps I talked to and enjoyed the sleuthing. I never got a satisfactory answer how the account was playing with no payments and cancelled.
