This mentality/philosophy/mindset .. whathaveyou of trying to milk the playerbase for more money at every turn is the reason so many people hate this game and SOE for it.

What crackerjack box diploma monkey is coming up with this shit?

Do you have any fucking clue what good business practice is?

The most simple concept of basic good business is this :

Be good to your customers and they will return ... with friends.

Where do you guys come off thinking it's gonna be ok to re-work racials then offer up racial respecs via station cash?

It's mostly what this stands for .. The ability to change any aspect of the game then charge people to adjust to your changes!

Essentially telling your customers to "pay up or fuck off".

Is this a precident? No, we are always paying for content, indirectly this has been going on in MMOs for years, it is part of the basis of the model. The whole concept of making changes to the game that push players to extend their subscription is the basis of this philosophy and the subscription based MMO. Here is where we draw the line though:

Is this a subscription based MMO or a Pay for differing levels of power and access MMO? Apprently SOE is shooting for BOTH with EQ2?

A change such as adding content/re-working zones/X-pac and charging 5$ OR FREE.

Free = we love our customers = game is doing well?

5$ = we are imperialist pigs our children are starving give us yo' money = game is in the shitter we better pull some cash yo' or shut it down?
