I was curious if any of the fansite people had any thoughts on Ogaming's acquisition or merger with Allakhazam. Were they going to combine, or stay seperate?

I'm gonna guess that they will stay seperate for now. I dunno how many hits Allakhazam gets or what kind of content they put up..if they stand well on their own, it'd be stupid to merge em.

Allakhazam was the king of Everquest 1.

I find it rather lacking for Everquest 2 though.

I agree, it owned for EQ1, even moreso than Ogaming does for EQ2, because in addition to it's exhaustive quest info, it had the best item database.

If Ogaming is able to combine all the quest, item etc. databases from both Ogaming and Allakazam, then provides that same combined info from both sites, IGE will clearly own the majority of EQ2 fansite traffic.

I hate ogaming, ugly site, takes forever to load @ work. I have a feeling though that it will be someone like Kendricke that will replace him, if it is anyone from a website.

Hell I ran the Maelin Starpyre boards when it first came out, when I Was like 18/19, gives me as much of a right to replace him as any other newb who works @ a pos gaming site.

I hope they bring Gaige's friend back, or some eye candy like her...

this game will get much much worse if someone like tamat or anyone from ogaming gets put in that position.

but if it's someone as retarded as tamat, he shouldn't last long

Kinda late to be asking this, but Blackguard was just a Community Representative, right? The voice between the Devs and us? (And sometimes, maybe, the other way around?) He didn't actually have anything to do with Development.

Or am I mistaken?

I can see how PR might suffer with the wrong person in the position, but not the game itself.

As far as I know yes. I think he was somewhat a go-between players and devs, however I do think it has a possibility to affect game developement. As in communication between devs and players. I suppose I could be mistaken. But IMO...
