So I'm posting this because you'd think after enough 5 second spell lag, but over 30 frames per second would convince SoE that their servers need to be upgraded.

Check out Nagafen's (pvp server) Kylong Plains pvp. When 200 people in zone makes it lag THAT badly, it makes me wonder how well EQ2 is going to hold out against new MMO's (aka Aion) that have higher population and no lag.

Freakin' upgrade the servers.

I thought they were only upgrading those 2 pvp servers cuz they were gonna be merging them, not the rest of the servers

They're upgrading Nagafen, then doing the merge, then upgrading the rest of the servers one-by-one.

Aion (at least on my server) is almost unplayable at times, with lag so bad that about the only thing you can really do is die. (which is expensive in aion...). Never mind actually getting ON the game, as the queues are pretty bad.

Had played aion in beta, and for the two early access days... then gave up trying to play it and came back to EQ2.
