I don't think they're that sadistic. But, if true, this sets an ugly precedent where in order to enjoy the "full" game (no matter how insignificant) you are required to participate in micro-transactions.

Which is a terrible idea for a game that's pay-to-play. Crappy f2p games like Fly For Fun or whatever get away with this since they are free-to-play, EQ2 is not. FFXI already pissed off some of its fanbase with its mini-adventure-packs that consist of like 2 raid mobs and some other crap (bad for the game's age to do) so MMO companies need to tread lightly when it comes to more content and money tbh.

I bet Aion ads would have a high clickthru if I put them up on EQ2wire. I dunno if I want to join Commission Junction though.

Probably a rhetorical question but I'll answer it anyway. Yes, I doubt your EQ2 articles are appreciated as much as Aion insight would be.

What troubles are those? The only issue I know of were the long queue times but nc soft acted quickly with a time limit on personal shops and most queue times are rather low.

World chat was down last night but fuck eq2 chat goes down all the Tim I would not call that a launch woe.

Im not one to cry doom but this is kind of lame. There are a lot of assumptions one could make about what will happen in the future and theyre always just that, assumptions, but its not hard to see where the game is headed.

Aion isnt amazing but its fun, mostly cus its new. It had its problems at launch due to the massive initial rush. Huge queues, epic lag and rubber banding. Havent seen many bugs though. I would have quit eq2 for good if the graphic quality of aion had been anywhere near AoC, yeah Im that shallow.

yes, the LoN sales would go up, but would it be enough to offset the number of people that quit because of it? There was a huge uproar when loot cards and station cash were added but we have always been assured by SOE that rewards from these two would NEVER impact gameplay. I predicted that they would renig on that promise because they would get greedy.
