Crits work exactly the same in PvP as they do in PvE. Difference is that most mobs don't have any crit mit. I actually have done testing on this.

Incidently the max+1 rule doesn't appear to work in PvP combat either.

Apparently my testing was flawed. I was hitting a defiler and the tool had his reactive damage shield thingy on... which happens to reduce DPS mod. So the max+1 rule DOES apply to auto-attacks, but NOT to spells/CAs. These get a flat % bonus depending on your crit bonus, and with the amount of crit mit floating around crits on a mage are completely useless.

So Ballads was right, and Pudaan is still a cum-guzzling faggot (even if he wasn't 100% wrong)

Are you talking about pvp only paikis? Not too long ago they made combat arts crit with the max+1 lower limit just like everything else.

Been through all the update notes since GU 50 and no mention of this. Although now that you mention it I do recall something being changed about this. My testing shows that spell crits are still a flat +30% +crit mod though.

Nevermind, found it:

"Combat arts will now properly use the max damage + 1 as the minimum critical amount when attacking an npc. PvP combat arts will still use damage times the critical multiplier." - GU#50.

So like I said, unless you're using auto-attack as a major part of your damage, crits do nothing for you in PvP combat. I guess this makes Pudaan slightly less retarded than i said before, but still wrong.

What? How is that "the point" of raiding? There are no battle grounds, so how can battlegrounds be the ultimate goal? The ultimate goal of raiding is to get better gear and progress through PvE content.

I guess I would prefer it if everyone would hail a merchant and start out with a base set of gear and then buy upgrades or new items with tokens earned in PvP. Of course, if they created a working match system based on stats, then I wouldn't see a problem with PvE gear being allowed.

I think you wear what you earn regardless of what it is. I see a lot of my raid gear being a worst useless and at best worse that random treasured shit with the "Smash" ability on it for PvP
