Well for starters the new worg mounts guarenteed every level 60-70 character had to absolutely rush out to loping plains to get one. Then of course the pumpkin headed horseman was up so there was easily 150+ people in zone. I know this because there was 100+ in zone before our guild got there, then we showed up, 2 other guilds showed up during the course and numerous other spectators.
With this many people in zone it was not uncommon for a 1 second spell cast to take literally 5+ seconds to go off. I cast Elemental Vestment, a 35sec duration spell and was able to get off 4, yes 4 spells the entire duration thanks to the massive server side lag.
After that we moved to Inner Sanctum where the lag was less severe, it was only taking about 3 seconds to cast a 1sec cast spell.
All the lag was just the server side bullshit spell lag. It wasnt anything like it used to be from when players would get charmed or deleveled, it was just the server not being able to handle things and slowing down all of the gameplay. It makes the game completely unenjoyable to stand around attempting to cast a spell but to be unable to.
And if you think I am exaggerating, ask TDS on my server. They have gotten the PHH to under 40% before and tonight they couldnt even live for 5% because of the horrendous lag. Ive seen lag here before but this was by far the worst. It got so bad that he would screw up his script and spawn sets of pumpkins less than 10 seconds apart from each other well into the engagement.
