Yup, pally > sk as far as aggro goes...even without considering Amends. The dps differential between Paladin and SK is much smaller than most people make it out to be...most SK dps comes from the crusader AA tree, so pallys can partake in the love as well. Its just that most pallys have no clue how to dps, just like most brawlers have no clue how to tank.

Of course, aggro control is really the only advantage that paladins have over SKs. Paladins have the worst survivability out of all the plate tanks, which has never made much sense to me...but hey that's SoE for ya.

Last I checked the topic of discussion was about aggro holding, not tank survivability.

Coming from someone who ha played an assassin for ages, my favorite tank for groups is pally. Amends + murderous design = impossible to pull aggro. I once tested it, the pally pulled with one taunt, turned around and sat down. I put out 15k dps and didn't pull at all. Its almost cheating compared to other tank classes, especially non crusaders.

If we are talking raid, not group, than its more about group setup imo. If the MT has a dirge/coercer, a freakin brig could hold aggro. If a guard has those, goes defensive and has trak sheild, there should be no problems at all.

last I checked, this was EQ2 flames. Every other post starts out gameplay related and turns into (a) I fucked your mother last night or (b) Obama is ruining the country.

Having a Paladin in the raid is not like cheating, having a Stonestrong in the raid is. Its just not fair to the other tanks......

If you have problems with singel target give amends to a assassin doing 15k+ and lets see who owns the singel target hate?

Zerks get berserk dps aye. It still doesent matter as crusader have that stupid OP AA so their auto attack hits for so much more anyway.

Come and talk about trak shield all you want but the fact still stands that warrior DPS sucks with a shield.
