Really?
And I don't think Lag is something they can just "Fix". Considering there are so many factors that create it, including your computer, your ISP, routers between you and the server, and the thousands of other PvPers out there who were dumb enough to want to play EQ2 for the pvp.

Weird I had the same ISP in t7 and there was no where near this amount of lag, no where even fucking close to the lag there is right now. In t7 there were at least double the amount of people that were level 80 and participated in raid pvp, there was lag but it was playable, atm its not even close to something playable. Lag was unheard of in Labs and deathtoll, it was never even a factor. I had a worse computer in t7 and played the game better then I do now!
Sure there are tons of different things effecting lag, more reason to fix this now!
Lag bleeds over to raids not only on Nagafen but I can guarantee you it does on crushbone, which also just received the database update. Lag is more of a determent on encounters then anything else in this game.
I'm sure you have lag with the thousands of other idiots dumb enough to play EQ2 only for the pve though, and if not, grats you play on a empty server, yay!

Re: New Shader 3.0 vid
While they shaders make current graphics better, they also provide tools to make better graphics in the next expansion. They increase performance on newer video cards. The increase performance on newer zones more as well.
I am dissapointed to hear that the database upgrade and server merge/database purge didnt noticeably help lag on nagafen. I still want SOE to purge out these older characters that add to database lag.
Wait when did crushbone recieve the database upgrade?

Re: New Shader 3.0 vid
Pretty sure they did Nagafen and Crushbone before all the others, although I'm far to lazy to find a post to confirm or deny it.

I wouldnt give a fuck if they stopped fixing bugs, stopped introducing content and for 1 GU just fixed this stupid stuff, it ruins the game way more then seeing a guards name spelled wrong or having to petition to get my quest updated.

While, you and most everyone else who complains about the lag issues still with the new DB, you all have 1 thing in common... lack of ability to fucking read Dev notes. . .

A lag fix will happen, when? i have no idea because it's fucking SoE.

nope nagafen butcherblock and lucan d'lere were first... They were the test dummies for the conversion. There has been no timetable on the other servers. Although from what i have heard so far it was not much of a noticeable difference in lag, but was a reduction in zone times.

Re: New Shader 3.0 vid
Noticed nothing on Nagafen except now when you buy something off the broker it only lags for 10seconds, not 10minutes!
thx for the correction though.

Re: New Shader 3.0 vid
Butcherblock, Lucan D'Lere, and Nagafen were upgraded. I find lag on Butcherblock is gone since the upgrade. But I realize it's considered a low pop server.

yes, it did. We all assumed you were retarded. My bet is that you claiming it was a joke is a sad attempt to recover some dignity.

There, now what do you fucks have to say about, but this guy doesn't work with the game, just the graphics! Fuck wasting money on that person, and hire another coding/mechanic producing dev that's actually worth a fuck

damn you are a fucking idiot. Rothgar has been working on fixing the memory allocation error and it has helped a lot. A guildy of mine crashed 2-3 times a night and after last week's hotfixed, he has crashed once. The next GU is dedicated to fixing bugs and there is a coding/mechanic revamp being done for the GU that will coencide with SF launch. It's not like they are focused on one thing and one thing only.

Re: New Shader 3.0 vid
I'm crashing a lot less so they obviously fixed something.
For people saying not to have Shaders 3, GTFO.
