If you do go the GTX 260 route, make sure it's the 216 core.

Sometimes it's ATI other times it's nVidia, BTW, I paid less for my Vapor-X 5870 than you did for your GTX470, but I found a killer deal on Ebay =P
I live in Germany, trust me I got the better deal. ;(

*edit* Price the card in €uro and you'll see what I mean.

consider for a moment the food/restaurant analogy we always seem to use .... now consider for a moment the advances in technology regarding ways to cook food, namely the microwave oven.

    ok got it?

Alright now think about what it's like to eat food prepared in a 5 star establishment and something you just tossed in the microwave, that's not only just the MMO industry. It's a phenomenon that is occurring on a deeper level in the reality of earthly human super-consciousness.

We are in a process of trying to break down the barriers of the microcosm.

We are trying to shatter the illusion of danger, risk and difficulty.

What happens when the illusion of challenge is a broken?

What happens when the illusion of challenge never existed to begin with? If it was not recognized to begin with ...

Socrates says in the Republic that people who take the sun-lit world of the senses to be good and real are living pitifully in a den of evil and ignorance. Socrates admits that few climb out of the den, or cave of ignorance, and those who do, not only have a terrible struggle to attain the heights, but when they go back down for a visit or to help other people up, they find themselves objects of scorn and ridicule.

you won't understand it but ... all games have a huge psychological aspect to them. Difficulty is based in the illusion of perceived parameters.

The name item response theory is due to the focus of the theory on the item, as opposed to the test-level focus of classical test theory, by modeling the response of an examinee of given ability to each item in the test. The term item is used because many test questions are not actually questions; they might be multiple choice questions that have incorrect and correct responses, but are also commonly statements on questionnaires that allow respondents to indicate level of agreement (a rating or likert scale), or patient symptoms scored as present/absent. IRT is based on the idea that the probability of a correct/keyed response to an item is a mathematical function of person and item parameters. The person parameter is called latent trait or ability; it may, for example, represent a person's intelligence or the strength of an attitude. Item parameters include difficulty (location), discrimination (slope or correlation), and pseudoguessing (lower asymptote).
