I can confirm the text is this exactly like it appears in this photo.

If you want to see for yourself here is how to do it. It will take about 5-10 minutes on a high speed connection.

Create a new folder for the Japanese client.

Copy over just the files from the root folder of your current folder.

Run the eq2.exe file.

Select the Japanese version of the client.

Login and let it start patching..

One of the first files to patch over is a file called ja_jp_src.dat, which is placed in a folder called "Locale" under a folder called "LP_REGION_JP_JA." Once this file is finished (it is 32,701 Kb), "Open with" notepad (looked better than Word to me at least), and turn on Word Wrap under format.

Edit>Find... "sarnak" "Master III" ...whatever you like.

P.S. the file still contains numerous mentions of Weaponsmith and BlackSmith so I am not sure what the "smith" refers to on the original Japanese forum.

I looked at the files these people are talking about.

Master 3s, they're just the translation from when they were in DoF beta. They seem to have had the system for M3s in the game the entire time, just they choose not to enable it.

As for Sarnak, who knows. It says that and the EoF is mentioned for Fae.

Man, a 10 level increase would suck major balls, considering the time it takes to get a suit of eof fabled armor... not to mention many of the bonuses would be obsolete as the enhanced spells will be upgraded in the next 10 levels.

I am all for this change, the game can't stay stagnant forever. Eventually this was coming and I say sooner rather than later. I wouldn't care if the level cap was 200 as long as there was sufficient content for all teirs.

Agreed. They'd have to do something long term though if they ever did increase the level cap that high, newer players would find it hard to go from 1 to 100+ .. I don't mind though as long as theres plenty to do for a level cap increase.

I can't even believe some of you are crying over a lvl increase already. For better or worse they have done about all they can with with t7. Grats to everyone who will achieve whatever loot goal you have given for yourself!! So you spent a shitload of plat on masters and gear, so you've farmed every mob out there, so you've raided every boss, its time to move the fuck on. A few of your best peices will not be upgraded for a long time and yes opening tier 8 fabled will probably be worse then t7 high end. Zomg you will have to buy 10 more lvls of master 1s , fuck i have been full mastered for so long i kind look forward to this.

All you can do is hope they have learned from the mistakes of T7 and hope to many of them don't get repeated in T8.

Also, why would you wear full EoF class set gear (I only maybe want 2-3 of my pieces and it isn't for the shitty bonus either)? I do not think I have seen a full set bonus that warrants always wearing all 7.

Why are people gonna bitch...because they could expand more on T7...but no we are gonna get 10 more tired ass lvls to grind out. After everyone grinds out lvl 80 then we are gonna sit around and throw a fucking fit on how much T8 raid content sux and how they can't believe it broken.

Heard it in T6 and T7 and now we get to hear it in T8...thats why 10 more lvls is gonna suck...hell you think 10 more lvls is gonna spark a love interest back into EQ2...
