    Default Has this game improved/changed much in the last 2 years?

    I haven't touched EQ2 in awhile, I was playing on the pvp server until they removed the ability to lock xp for pvp battles.

    My biggest gripe in this game was that all the mid-game content and older content was obsolete. I remember starting a new character in Kunark and found that level 20 quests and items in Kunark were easier to do and far more powerful then even some level 30 quests/items in the old world.

    Old world quests were often extremely tedious, multi-stage, required a group and offered very little reward... Old content was essentially inferior to any new content and the game between level 20-50 was utter garbage...

    Not to mention my gripe with monster AI, how virtually EVERY single monster in the game used the same behavioral AI script regardless of their class and race, how they would "run at you full speed and engage you in melee combat at the first sign of aggro" even if they were techinically a mage or long range monster.

    Has ANY of this changed or improved in terms in mid game content and monster AI?

    I hear you can level lock again on PVP servers, Old world content is still way harder more time consuming then new content. Monsters with the launch of RoK will stop and cast at distances, if they are a mage, and move to back to backstab if a scout etc. etc. Everyone pretty much rips through content and leveling is stupid fast, you can be level 80 in less then 8hrs. They added BGs which are a blast if you are into PVP combat.

    Maybe I'll re-new my pvp character and try again. How is the new Halas stuff?

    You can now turn all your combat XP into AA. There is a slider you can use that you can select the percentage you want to turn XP into AA.
