Yeah... Once in a while SOE does things first... But I bet we see this out of a totally new game before we see it in EQ2

while what you say might be true about MMOs following suit, i doubt that the minimap is because of that. Minimaps have been in games before even the NES came out, its not something new. Ill bet they just didnt add it in before because EQ2's map doesn't take up the whole screen like it does with other games.

I see people creating videos of eq2 all the time. Faabio's made a few good ones himself :P.
