I came here not to escape the n00bz but to escape the people who try to regulate every fucking thing I say. N00bz, tradeskillers, raiders, soloers, etc, I welcome them all. This site is about freedom, go-getting, and letting movers&shakers do their stuff, whether in suggesting new ideas or calling out bullshit. It is not about a particular viewpoint or clique.

IMO the website is doing just fine. As I said before, there's no need to lose confidence based on the tells of weaker-minded players. And I get the occasional in-game tell from someone I never see making posts, saying they like some of the things I say here. Everybody reads. The visitation and membership numbers speak for themselves.

It's not about the specific response, it's about the way I delivered them. One was mocking the other was providing reasoning behind how I felt. The latter can be done without the former.

Well I guess you could care just as much about your character as you do your real life, but if thats true, its pretty sad.

You've never heard of black-listing? Slander? You've never heard of somebody whose reputation was so ruined they had to abandon their character/server?

Sometimes, these are justified; sometimes they're not. I've seen plenty of both in ten years of playing MMOs. And with a community that puts forth as venomous a face as this one does, it's certainly a concern the timid might have.

How so? I guess if you could look up my address right now and prove that I wasnt anonymous by posting here I would be, but I dont think you can do that.
