Why? Because Im an ass and I treat other people in game that cannot do anything for me like shit. I should be blacklisted 100x over but Im not because it just doesnt happen in this game.
For every person that decides that Dissolution is the dumbest fucking guild on earth and they would never want to join us, there is one person who decides that they want to be in dissolution and no other guild. Then of course you have most of the people who dont care one way or the other, but Im just saying there are 2 sides to every coin.
Go find the most recent thread where you think Dissolution made themselves look bad. I can give you names of 3 people who talked to me about apping because of that thread, I guarentee it.

Oh but it does my friend. Do you have any idea how many times Disso has been the butt of a joke? Publically I know Coyote and I have made dozens, privately? Hundreds. Is it because of jealousy or an obsession with the guild? Nope it's just damn funny.

You were both right. You were just arguing semantics.
I actually saw that was the case fairly early on.

Re: Freedom of Expression - let's talk
You know, it's funny as hell. This post gets started by LFG, then instead of 1 side of the "Type A" personalities coming in, 2 sides of the "Type A" personalty come in and assault each other. Yet 1 side wants change, yet they won't change themselves, while the other doesn't feel the need to change.
Either way, Rhaz summed up everything I was thinking about saying, just I keep deleting my post and retyping it differently every time.
Anyway, it's obvious that neither side will ever agree and in fact 1 side will continue to say they want change but continue to attack the other side in the exact manner they want things to be changed from.

What's worse? Being a retard or arguing with one?
The above poster is both wise, and right - we're not going to see eye to eye on this. However, I've accepted that and moved on to point out that you are only a weird little beard and a dancefight away from the dark side of the force.
Munch on that for a while.
Oh? And the guy who mentioned it? I fully plan on being at Fan Faire.

You posted what you believed to be an example of people being (by your definition) flamed off off the boards.
I said there was no flaming and in my opinion it was a bad example.
You then FLAMED ME.
Since you are on the anti-flame side of the argument do you see how insanely stupid that is? I mean seriously.
|
You asked for an example of someone being 'flamed off the boards'. The very first sentence in my response is 'Not flamed off the site, but a fun discussion quashed by the exact type of behaviour I believe is being discussed in this topic'.
How the fuck can anyone provide you with an example of being flamed off the boards? I mean seriously. What I did provide you was evidence of a topic that displayed the type of behavior being discussed here. If someone left the boards, they wouldn't post, right?
Duh.
Lack of participation in a thread of the type that exists in 19 of 24 class forums (from a quick scan) doesn't make sense other than folks either honestly do not care, or were turned off by the negative reception of the thread.
BTW, that is the part where the result is the same, simpleton.
Saying it sucked is ignorant due to the fact the topic didn't suck for the other 19 classes that participated. There was another reason for the low participation. If you are too fucking dumb to see the parallel to that and the topic here, perhaps you are the one that needs the loaded shotgun in the river, or whatever shit you thought up because you lack the intelligence to discuss this topic.

That applies to everyone regardless of who you are. Do you have any idea the number of times, this site, zam, your site, you, lfg, etc etc have been the butt of jokes? You would be fooling yourself to think you arent.
So that really doesnt matter at all. Everyone is the butt of a joke at some time. That doesnt mean your reputation matters at all.

Actually, I'm pretty sure the two sides do agree on the main point of this thread which is this site's not for everyone, and probably never will be. No forum is everyone's cup o' tea.
