First off I want to say Ishbu is a complete ass who flames the fuck out of people just for disagree'ing with his Tier 8 crusade or anything regarding raiding.

Having said that, he is 100% right about be anonymous.

The second part however is incorrect. How can you of all people, who post with the passion/anger/frequency that you do not understand how people get butthurt. I could ask you why you get all buthurt the contents not hard enouph for you, or butthurt cause itemization sucks, after all its just a bunch of digital crap on your digital character why get upset about it?

Nearly all the class forums have similar discussions, yet you have a few folks that bring nothing to the discussion chime in and it dies from lack of participation. You have everything in that example this thread is discussing. An avid poster that is typically full of insightful and useful information, a member of a guild that is recognized (if not loved) by the raiding community to be among the best WW, and *gasp* the forum leader. All proceed to speak out against the topic even being discussed at all. Result? Dead thread.

Yeah, it's my post. You wanted an example and it was the first that came to mind for the purpose of this discussion.

Oh no, no ones asking for a utopia, I love lively, argumentative discussion as much as anyone else. However why would I or anyone else interested in relevant discussion want to continue to post when we would be harrasses or our threads derailed by the idiot trolls? One of the things the site owner LFG has continually promoted is diversity of opinions here. How can this be accomplished when anyone that thinks differently is constantly treated in that way? They can be tough as nails but explain to me why they would continue to post here and contribute if they are met with nothing but trolling and stupidity?

I'll be honest I dont know what the answer will be. I will say that the best discussions about games and gaming I have are on moderated sites like MMORPG and WOWLadies. They are moderated but not as anally (from what I have seen) as SOE. And they are far from utopias. I have tried many times to have discussions here and in about 75 percent of the cases have been met with the same idiots and their same stupidity. How much longer must one try?
